Alessandro Bonfiglioli is CEO of CAAB S.p.A., a large commercial food logistics center in Bologna. He is Professor of Industrial Design and Branding for the Global MBA in Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods and for the Master in Business Management – Made in Italy. He is Scientific Co-Director of the Executive Master in Entrepreneurship.
In the past, he held several executive roles as CEO of Alessi Group, CEO of Haworth Italy, and CFO/COO of Castelli Furniture Group.
Alessandro holds a degree cum laude in Economics from the University of Bologna, an MBA, executive training at Harvard Business School and other international institutions, and a legal qualification as a Chartered Accountant and Auditor. He is the owner of a large photovoltaic plant and is one of the main shareholders of the Fico EatalyWorld Theme Park. He is also an independent Director of several private and public companies in different industrial sectors and Secretary-General of the Fico Foundation.
The goal of this course is to introduce students to the Italian design world. Particular attention will be paid to its origins, main characteristics, and inclinations. The course will elaborate on various themes that are typical of different areas of design implementation. The course will be divided into three parts: Italian Design Identity, Testimonies, and Examples & Methods.
