The same day, at 8.30 p.m, Bologna Festival organizes at Teatro Manzoni the concert of Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and the Turkish imaginative pianist-composer Fazil Say. Bologna concert is the only Italian date and the first concert of the European tour leading the orchestra to Germany, Austria and Hungary.
Performing without a conductor in challenging programs, Orpheus rotates musical leadership roles for each work, following the original method that places democracy at the center of artistic execution. The programme includes one of the most intense Mozart Piano Concertos, the famousK.488, and Haydn Symphony n.80. Wagner Siegfried-Idyll is performed in its original chamber version. The concert programme also comprises the European premiere of a newly commissioned work for Orpheus by Fazil Say. In this sense, the artist reaffirms his role of committed pianist-composer, which was very common from 18th to 20th century.

Special ticket price for BBS COMMUNITY showing a registration document to the ticket office Bologna Welcome, Piazza Maggiore 1/E (Tuesday-Saturday h 13-19).
