The second appointment with the fall cycle of Innovation Talks will host as Keynote Speaker Angelos Papadimitriou, CEO of Coesia Group. The event, organized in collaboration with Philip Morris Italy, will address the theme of the Industry 4.0.

 

Born in Athens, a Degree in Computer Engineering and Economics from Brown University and an MBA from Harvard University, Angelos Papadimitriou is CEO of Coesia Group since January 2010.

The Coesia Group, with revenues of about € 1.5 billion, more than 6000 employees and 92 operating units in 34 countries, is a world leader in the Automatic Machines for the packaging industry and for the production of packaging materials, the Industrial Process Solutions and Precision Gears.

 

Before joining Coesia, Angelos Papadimitriou has spent nearly 20 years in the international pharmaceutical industry with Merck & Co., Fournier Group, Schering Plough and GlaxoSmithKline where he was chairman and CEO of GSK Italy and Southeast Europe. Angelos has previously worked in the McKinsey office in New York in the healthcare industry practices sector.

Since 2005 Angelos Papadimitriou has assumed various roles within Confindustria, holding the position of Vice President of Farmindustria and Confindustria Verona, President of the Foreign Investors Committee of Confindustria and member of the Presidential Committee. Currently, Angelos Papadimitriou is the Vice President of Unindustria Bologna and member of the General Council of Confindustria.
