Alon Wolf, Director and Founder of Biorobotics and Biomechanics Lab at Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, will be a guest of Bologna Business School for the workshop New Frontiers in Robotic Technologies, focusing on the latest advances in the field of robotics.
Professor Wolf, one of the world’s leading experts in robotics, is best known for his robotic snake, designed to be used in urban search and rescue operations. Based on this technology, the company Medrobotics, co-founded by Alon Wolf, has developed a medical snake robot called Flex®, used worldwide to provide surgeons with single-site access to hard-to-reach anatomical locations. Alon Wolf showed his snake robots, winners of the ‘Best Technology’ award respectively in 2012 and 2014, to Barack Obama and other world leaders in 2013, during the President’s visit to Israel.
