The quality label issued by the European Foundation for Management Development, the most important international organization for the accreditation of business schools, certifies that the master has the required quality standards on a global level.
The Global MBA is a full-time English language program that has attracted, in the recent years, students from the 5 continents, reaching 90% of placement in the first 6 months after the end of the courses. Every year about 70 students arrive in Bologna to attend the Global MBA which, in addition to providing solid general management skills, offers the possibility of choosing from five addresses the one closest to their passions: Design, Fashion and Luxury Goods, Food and Wine, Innovation Management / Mechanics & Innovation, Green Energy and Sustainable Businesses and Corporate Finance.
Max Bergami, Dean of Bologna Business School, commented on the EPAS accreditation in 2015: “The EPAS Accreditation is both an achievement and a commitment for us. We want to bring Italian excellence to the world, Taking Italian Excellence Global, and in order to do so we need our international students, providing them with a unique, Italian experience that complies with international standards. Furthermore, the EPAS accreditation process was for me personally and for the whole school a learning experience that offered the opportunity to reflect on what we are doing and how we can improve. I want to thank EFMD for their valuable contribution to the development of the Business School. ”
Academic rigor and practical relevance are the guiding principles of EPAS accreditation. An evaluative moment, which is at the same time also a general process of quality improvement, guided by the international standards defined by the best business schools in the world associated with the EFMD. These criteria concern the institutional context, the links with the companies, the selection of students, the originality and consistency of the teaching approach, the international dimension, the qualification of the teaching staff and the professional growth of the former participants.
The confirmation of this long-standing trust in the work of BBS was accepted with these words by the director of the Global MBA, Elisa Montaguti: “The renewal of the EPAS accreditation is a source of great satisfaction for all of us. This further recognition confirms the excellence of the program and the quality of the work carried out to date, obliging us, however, to continue to commit ourselves every day to offer our students the best training and the best professional opportunities “.
